novel newcomers

Welcome back! Today I’m happy to say that I will be featuring some more Novel Newcomers! In case you’ve forgotten, you can check out all of the details HERE.

So…Without further ado…Let’s get this party started!!!

(P.S. I couldn’t help but respond to a couple of the things these lovely ladies said, so my comments are in PURPLE!)

Let’s start by meeting the four AWESOME bloggers featured in today’s post!

Meedah is the blogger at A World Of Bookss! She started blogging March 2015. You can find her on Goodreads or on Twitter!

Bianca is the blogger at Notoriouslay Low! She started blogging July 2015. You can find her on GoodreadsInstagram, and Twitter.

Angelica is the blogger at The Bookish Angel Reads It! She started blogging January 2015. You can find her on GoodreadsInstagram, and Twitter.

Ali is the blogger at Book Lover Thoughts! She started blogging May 2015. You can find her on GoodreadsInstagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.

Outside of blogging and reading, what other interests do you have?
Meedah: Hmm, I used to write *stories/Poetry* But i enjoy watching shows and fangirling over Celebrities. I’m a big fan of anime (me too) and I binge watch Youtube React Videos, also when I’m in the mood I like to bake.
Bianca: I usually sleep. Hahaha kidding. I love to design graphics for random stuff, edit videos and travel around where the places offer a significance in history.
Angelica: I actually have no talent other than reading (wait is reading not a talent? Nope?) but I resolved to at least learn one thing this year! Right now, I’m into bookish photography (@thebookishangel I know #shamelessplugging) and I hope to get better at it! I also enjoy cooking! 🙂
Ali: Outside of blogging and reading, I fence, watch lots of movies and TV shows, and attempt to bake. Key word is attempt.

What is your most unusual accomplishment?
Meedah: I honestly don’t think I have one or that this would be but the first thing that popped into my head was when I did a challenge with my Uncles wife to see who could drink a bottle of hot sauce and I won lol.
Bianca:  Academically speaking, it is to have won a quizbee against other students just because they did not let the judges finish the questions. Weirdly speaking, it is when I survived Christmas without getting fat. Lol
Angelica:  My most unusual accomplishment would be being the most courteous student in kindergarten. I can’t remember if I was actually courteous lol.
Ali: My most unusual accomplishment is winning the “most sparkly cookie” in a cookie decorating contest in 3rd grade.

What is your favorite food?
Meedah:  Ugh so hard, um I have a favorite type of food which is sweet/salty. Now I can say I love fried ALMOST everything.
Bianca:  Aghhhh too many to mention. Although, the first thing that popped in my head was Caldereta. It’s a stew-like Filipino dish that is best served when it has peanut butter and cheese on it. Teehee. (Whaaaat? PB and cheese?)
Angelica: My favorite food would be mashed potatoes. Who doesn’t love potatoes. (YESSS I LOVE POTATOES)
Ali: I love cannolis!

What is the last book that you read and LOVED?
Meedah: The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas, Omg it’s like a thriller/mystery and it keeps you wanting to turn the page over and over. It’s shocking in a way because of the way Kara weaves two big truth bombs in the story. It also makes you think about truth, and what you want to see versus what you actually saw.
Bianca:  It’s Kind of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. I liked the way it tells the story, and Craig was such a wonderful character.
Angelica: The last book I read and loved was Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys. I’m addicted to World War 2 fiction and that book made me open my eyes to the unknown horrors that happened in that time period.
Ali: The entire Stray series by Rachel Vincent was AMAZING!

What’s one thing that you’re looking forward to in 2016? (Can be book/blog related, but doesn’t have to be)
Meedah:  Looking forward to going back to school (hopefully) and maybe trying to attend a book event
Bianca: My trip to Singapore <3 I didn’t have a huge birthday party because of it, but I at least I finally get to travel out of the country.
Angelica: I can’t wait to go back to being on my blog on full force. This has been the most exhausting college year ever that I decided to be on a hiatus and be back on summer (which is less than a month away!).
Ali: Going to college!

Now…I also asked them some rapid fire questions!

COKE OR PEPSI?
Meedah: PEPSI ALL THE WAY
Bianca:  COKE!
Angelica: Coke!
Ali: Coke!

BLUEBERRY OR CHERRY?
Meedah: Cherry
Bianca: Neither? I am not a berry person. //shamed But I do prefer blueberries 😀
Angelica: Blueberry!
Ali: Cherry!

PENS OR PENCILS?
Meedah: Pens
Bianca:  Pencils. I hate inking my artworks.
Angelica: Pens!
Ali: Pens

SUN OR MOON?
Meedah: Moon
Bianca:  I love the sun. It’s great for natural lighting.
Angelica: Moon
Ali: Moon

MONKEY OR KOALA?
Meedah: Koala
Bianca: KOALA!!! NO QUESTION.
Angelica: Koala!
Ali: Koala

And that’s a wrap on today’s Novel Newcomers post! What did you think? I definitely learned some new things about Meedah, Bianca, Angelica, and Ali! Make sure to check out their blogs and give them a follow! Also- stay tuned! Next week, Sophi will be featuring some bloggers on her blog!
