This book is every fangirl’s dream. It is about Liv, a college freshman who is obsessed with Starveil movies. She lives, breathes, and eats Starveil. So, when her favorite character dies in the last movie of the series, she is heartbroken. She locks herself up in her room and ignores the world- after all, how could she enjoy herself? Her love is gone. Dead. And there is no coming back…
But, the story doesn’t end there. After all, I mentioned that ALL THE FEELS is a fangirl’s dream, right? That’s because Liv decides that the past isn’t in the past. The ending was open…sure, Spartan, her love, was left on a planet filled with species trying to kill him, and there was no way for him to return to his planet, but, they never showed him dead. And, since the ending wasn’t definitive, Liv decides that Spartan isn’t dead. She knows the power of true fans- so she decides to bring hope back to the fandom. She creates a video featuring her best friend, Xander, as one of the characters in Starveil, and she posts it online. Within hours, it has gone viral. Everyone in the fandom has seen it, and they all want more. What happens next? You’ll have to read ALL THE FEELS to find out!
I absolutely adored the characters, especially Liv. You see, Liv was a college freshman, and her mom didn’t exactly approve of her being so obsessed with the fandom, for good reason- Liv flunked one of her major tests. But, the one thing that Liv’s mom didn’t realize, was that fandom = Liv’s life. Without fandom, she was lost and adrift- she had no purpose. So, even though school is of course important, to Liv, it wasn’t her first priority. Of course I don’t approve of her blowing aside her schoolwork, but I did really like the fact that Liv stuck to her guns and didn’t give up. She knew what she wanted, and she did everything possible to achieve her goal.
Liv’s best friend, Xander, was also AWESOME. They met in college, and immediately clicked. Liv was shy in person but social online. Xander was an aspiring actor who oozed confidence, but wasn’t cocky whatsoever. They both brought out the best in each other, and their friendship made me squeal and always brought a smile to my face. They were truly two peas in a pod.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and give it 4.5/5stars.
