Out of all of the posts on my blog, this is almost always the scariest for me to write. You ask- why would a post be scary to write? Well…let’s just say…people tend to get angry when they see what books I haven’t read…They like to CAPS LOCK ME and tell me I must READ ALL OF THE THINGS!!! And then I freak out and then I read the books and generally love them but occasionally hate them and then…okay now I’m just rambling. I think you get the point. 😉

In all seriousness, I actually love it when it comes time for the Make Me Read It Readathon. It’s super fun to let other people pick what books I’m going to read.

Before I get to the fun part, let me explain exactly what this readathon is.

  • It’s hosted by Ely @ Tea & Titles and Val @ The Innocent Smiley!
  • It takes place from July 9th to July 16th (but I tend to continue reading the books for at least 2 weeks)
  • You get to make a poll filled with books on your TBR, and your friends/fellow readers get to vote and choose what books you read during the readathon!
  • Obviously the books with the most votes win! 🙂
  • The hashtag is #MakeMeRead
  • The signup post can be found HERE!

It sounds like fun- right???

Now, it’s time to go into hiding…because it’s POLL TIME!

Here are some books currently at the top of my TBR! I can’t wait to see which ones you choose!

  1. I love how many you’ve picked out here, Nori 😛 I haven’t read a whole lot of the books from the first poll either, so I promise there will be no angry caps lock from me! Thanks for joining in, and I hope you do super well 😀

  2. What a cool (and scary) idea.

I voted for “The Winner’s Curse” one of my all time favs! “Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour,” “The Start of Me and You,” and “The Distance Between Us” are all super cute. But I didn’t care for “My Life Next Door.”

And these are big on my TBR: “The Wrath and the Dawn,” “Uprooted” and “The Impostor Queen.”

  3. Sam

I only voted for books I have read (except the early ARC, I have not read the one I chose, but I will soon). I am glad many people selected Three Dark Crowns. It was fantastic! I will eagerly await the next book.

  4. I actually haven’t read any of the books on your list, so you’re not alone in that! Good luck with the readathon, Nori!

  5. Okay so I take it back. There are books I’ve read you haven’t. I picked many that I wanna buddy read with you. A few ARCs plus Amy & Roger!!! So let me know when polls end!

  6. Such an exciting TBR! I really want you to read Uprooted (because I loved it!) and Poison Study – although the second and third books weren’t very good in my opinion. Good luck Nori, it’s going to be so much fun!

  7. THANK YOU FOR JOINING NORI!! I also voted for The Winner’s Curse, because I really liked it. But I haven’t read anything else, oh except Wrath and the Dawn which I also loved. I VOTED FOR THE START OF ME AND YOU because I bought that for you muhahahhaha. <3

  8. I went for Poison Study because I’ve read that one, Uprooted because that’s winning on my poll so far, The Wrath and the Dawn because I’m interested in that one as well, and then The Sword of Summer and Poison Princess because I liked the titles. The others I haven’t heard of so I just went by titles that caught my attention.

  9. Is it bad that of the 2016 ARCs, I voted for you to read all the ones I was curious, yet on the fence about? I tried to even it out by picking books I already read and loved for the first batch. So, I was only half selfish 😉 I hope you love the winners!

  10. these are all such good book choices, it was hard to choose! i hope that you enjoy the ones we all voted on! (especially caraval, i read it and it is AMAZING)

  11. You really have amazing stacks of books there! Even for 2017 ARCs :O I hope you’ll like whatever the voting results are 😀

  12. I’m so excited for this readathon! I voted for Uprooted because that’s what’s winning on my poll…and then I voted for TWATD because I love it so. Happy reading!

  13. I like that I could see the results instantly! Seems like I rarely pick the top contenders LOL
This is a fun way of choosing books, I wish I had known about it sooner. I am really anxious to see what you read and your thoughts on them, especially the ARCs!
