What would the world be like if Hitler won World War II? Ryan Graudin explored this horrific world in Wolf By Wolf. I must admit- I was a bit hesitant before starting this book, because I didn’t know if I could imagine such a world. I knew that it would be different, but I didn’t know just how different it would be. But as I started reading, I was easily able to slip into the world, and connect with the characters. It’s interesting- Ryan combined a mixture of multiple genres, and mashed them into one complex bundle. There were elements of historical fiction, thriller, and special abilities.
What I loved about Wolf By Wolf was Yael’s, the main character’s, determination. When she was younger, she was experimented on, and ever since then, she hated the Nazi regime. After she found the resistance, she dedicated her life to taking down Hitler, and she wasn’t afraid to do anything so long as she was able to complete her goal. There were hundreds of barriers in her way, but she didn’t care. She kept one thought on her mind, and one thought alone.
If you decided to look at my Goodreads status updates while reading, which you can see HERE, you will be able to see that there were many surprises and shocking moments throughout the book. Yes, this was a long ARC, I’m not going to say that it wasn’t. But, with that being said, there was enough anticipation and excitement in every chapter to keep me hooked from start to finish.
I really enjoyed this book and give it 4.5/5 stars.
