Princess Sofia RegularThe moment I picked up this book and started reading, I had chills. I could feel the goosebumps appear and the hair raise on my arms. I leaned forward, eager to continue reading. I knew, I knew that this book was special.

How do I even begin to describe The Accident Season? Well, it’s a book about a family that always suffers from accidents during the month of October. No matter where they go, or what they do, they always seem to attract accidents. Sometimes these accidents can be simply stubbing a toe, but sometimes…they can be fatal.

Now, the premise of this book is extremely unique, but that’s not the only reason why I loved it. The author’s writing style is something that I’ve never seen before, and I think is impossible to replicate. Moïra Fowley-Doyle writes in a way that transports the reader into a magical land, a land where mystical creatures live, yet centers the book in present day. It is almost like there are two realities- and both are true.

While reading The Accident Season, I realized that the entire book was a riddle- there were clues hidden everywhere, but what was the true mystery? There were multiple secret connections- and they were interwoven, which made it impossible to know, until the truth was revealed.

I highly recommend this book and give it 5/5stars

  1. I tried reading this but after a few chapters or so, I got so freaked out that my anxiety began to work up! It was crazy! It definitely is a unique book though and I am hoping I’ll be able to read it again without freaking out! Lovely review! ? xoxo
