ARC August Challenge!

Posted July 31, 2015 by Nori in Challenges / 10 Comments

I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the third round of ARC August, hosted by the lovely Octavia at Read Sleep Repeat!

You might have some questions about this challenge, or why I’m doing it, so hopefully this post will explain everything.

What is the ARC August Challenge?

The ARC August Challenge is a challenge where you can challenge yourself to read as many ARCs as possible so that you’ll be caught up for the rest of the year!

What are the rules?

They’re simple!

  • It may be a physical ARC or and eARC but it MUST be an ARC
  • Yes it can be an ARC that has released as long as it’s an ARC I’m not going to nit pick much
  • HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Feeling like you are being “forced” to read is the best way turn a fun event into a yucky obligation.
  • Update post!  This update can be in the form of a blog or tumblr post, vlog, link to your “ARC August 2015″ shelf or even an instagram pic!

Why are you participating?

Well, you see, there was this thing called BEA that I went to…and I happened to get over 140 books…and most of them were ARCs…and, well, I want to read them all! 😉

Also, I’ve been slacking on my Netgalley ratio recently, which makes me really sad. 🙁 I want to get that up as high as possible ASAP! (It’s currently 67%)

How do I sign up?

It’s easy! Go to Octavia’s original post (click HERE) and join the linky. 🙂

What books will YOU be reading for ARC August?

Well, I was originally going to set a number goal for myself, but then I decided that would be too stressful. So, I’m going to list a bunch of ARCs that I want to read soon, and we’ll see how many I get to!

Without further ado…Here are some of the ARCs that I will hopefully be reading in August!

There are a LOT of good books to choose from, so I need YOUR help! What ARCs should I prioritize? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I’d start with Tonight the Streets Are Ours, Everything Everything, Hunter & Romancing the Dark in the City of Light. I usually only read contemporary if the book stands out to me. Also, I’ve been dying to read Hunter!!

  2. Great idea, anything to get the reading stats up! I can be terrible, sometimes when I’m writing I get lost in it and stop reading, but I’m always happier when I’ve got a good book on the go.

  3. I was going to sign up to be a part of the ARC August challenge but I’m kinda of going through a reading and blogging slump :/ So I will live vicariously through you;D I am really excited to read all of your upcoming reviews! I’m really excited for some of your books. Also my Netgalley is 37% So don’t feel bad about your rating I can only hope to get my rating up to 67%.
