Wow. Today, today marks a day in history, at least for me. If you couldn’t tell from the title of my blog post, TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR BLOGOVERSARY! As I’m writing this post, my heart is pounding. I cannot believe that I have been book blogging for one year. It’s crazy. It’s incredible. I’m truly in shock.

I decided to create a book blog last year, on July 26th, 2014 because I wanted a place to share my love of reading with the world. Also, I had noticed a trend where I had been reading less and less during the previous couple of years, and I wanted to change the trend. I figured that if I created a book blog, it would spur me to start reading again, and guess what? It did that- and MORE!

I never, ever would have imagined what my book blog has come to be. It’s a symbol of reading and hard work, sure, but it’s more than that. It’s a place where I can say that I’ve made friends that I feel like I’ve known for a lifetime. This community, the book community, means the world to me.

I have met so many friends through book blogging, and I can’t wait to forge even more friendships in the future! I’d like to say a specific thank you to a couple of my closest friends. (Please, don’t be offended if I didn’t name you- I couldn’t fit everyone!!!)

Also, I want to give a special shout out to some of the authors that really helped me to feel welcome in this community. (Uhm, the fact that I have AUTHOR FRIENDS still shocks me! I view you all as superheroes)

Now, onto the part where I recap this year! Well, here you go:

Happy, happy Blogoversary! I always love to hear when people celebrate such a great occasion. Blogging for that long I think is terrific. I always love reading book reviews (so I can find new books to read) and love author interviews. Keep up the amazing job. You’re doing wonderful.

  12. Oh Nori! Thanks so much for the mention. You’re such an amazing person and I’m so proud to call you my friend. Congratulations on your Blogoversary. You had an amazing year and I wish you more happiness and success though out the years.

  13. Ahh! Congrats Nori! You’ve done so much since you started, I honestly can’t believe this is only your first blogoversary! You’re like, so accomplished in the book blogging world it feels like you had to have been a part of it for longer than 1 year!
And, just, I kind of feel touched to be included in your mentions, you’re one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of talking to and “meeting” through blogging. Honestly, when you started including me in your Tweets and everything I was so excited because it was like, I’d made it, I was in the group(the group being the awesomest of book bloggers). =) Anyway, I’m rambling. I hope you have another EPIC year of blogging cause you so deserve it, Nori! Happy blogoverasry!!! <3<3<3 =)

  14. Happy blogoversary! You’ve done so great for only your first year! I love how you have Sunday Street Team, it looks so fun! I also love how you have so many Twitter chats, even if I don’t always participate! I tend to find out that they happened after they finished. Oops!

Thanks for the giveaway, and I hope your next year is even better than the first!

  15. Erin @ The Hardcover Lover

Happy Blogiversary, Nori! I’ve loved following you this past year, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the future! 🙂

  16. So many big accomplishments in one year! I am coming up on my two year and your followership blows mine out of the water. Congratulations! My favorite post of yours would be Bookish Problems. Here is to many more years of book blogging. Cheers!

  17. I know this is 4 months late (and rather creepy but it just popped up in my suggested posts), but wow! We share our Blogaversary! (Which also happens to be my birthday yay)
Okay this was completely unnecessary. But oh well! Hope you keep up your blogging success 🙂
