This week’s topic is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2014!

1. Flash Point by Nancy Kress
Imagine reality tv…where you are put into crisis situations and aren’t allowed out. Imagine everyone seeing you panicking- and having no way to get out of your contract. It’s frightening, yet intriguing, isn’t it? I loved this book.

2. Hotwire by Cindy M Hogan
I actually just read this book for a blog tour and really enjoyed it! It is a sequel, but it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. I am definitely going to go back and read the first book.

3. Rites of Passage by Joy N Hensley
This book was BEYOND incredible and I can’t wait to read Joy’s newest book! Check out my review HERE.

4. Throne of Glass by Sara J Maas
I finally got around to reading book one and two of this series and they were both amazing! I hope that I will be able to read Heir of Fire soon.

5. Damsel Distressed by Kelsey Macke
This was Kelsey Macke’s debut book and it was phenomenal! I am excited to see what lies in the future for her as an author. Check out my review HERE.

6. Whatever Life Throws at You by Julie Cross
This was one of the first NA books that I read, and I loved it! I actually just joined Julie’s Street Team, and can’t wait to read more of her books. Check out my review HERE.

7. Get Happy by Mary Amato
This was a really sweet and touching book. I am definitely going to read some other books by Mary Amato. Check out my review HERE.

8. The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
I read this book in the beginning of 2014 and really enjoyed it. I haven’t finished the rest of the series yet, but hopefully I will have time soon.

9. The Immortal City by Scott Speer
Again, I read this book a while ago, but I did enjoy it. Yet again, I haven’t finished the series, but I can’t wait to see what happens next.

10. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
Oh my gosh. I just read this book over the weekend and it was amazing. it is going on my list of all time favorite books.

  1. I haven’t read Scorpio Races, but I’ve read Raven Boys and she is one of my favorite authors! Also, if you liked Get Happy you should definitely read Guitar Notes, it’s just as good! I have a feeling Sarah J. Maas is going to be on a lot of lists this week. =)

  2. Joy N. Hensley made it to my list too! I really enjoyed Rites of Passage. Damsel Distressed looks like a fantastic read so I’m definitely going to check that out.

    Great list 🙂

I’ve only read Immortal City, Goddess Test, Throne of Glass, and Scorpio Races from this list. I LOVED Throne of Glass & The Scorpio Races! I enjoyed the others too, just not as much.
I’ll have to check out the other books you listed!
