Sisterhood Of The World Bloggers Award #1!

Posted November 20, 2014 by Nori in Blog Awards/Tags / 8 Comments

So…well…there once was a book blogger who got behind on tags and blog awards. She tried to keep up with them all, but eventually just started writing them down on a list. She then realized that she had been tagged three times for one Blog Award! It was at that moment when she realized that it was probably time to do the tag. But…since 30 questions in one post seemed a bit long, she decided to split it into three posts. So, today you get to read part one, but there will be a part two and part three coming soon!

With that being said, I apologize for the delay on completing this tag. Thank you to Jaclyn @ Living in a World of Book Quotes for tagging me the first time!

As with all awards, there are rules that come along with being nominated. Here are the rules for this award:

1.) Thank the blogger that nominated you, and link back to their blog in your post.
2.) Post the award’s logo on your blog.
3.) Answer the ten question asked by the nominator.
4.) Nominate ten bloggers for the award.
5.) Ask your nominees ten questions.

Without further ado…here are my answers!

What are your top 5 favorite bloggers?
Eeek! How am I supposed to pick only five? Well, if I had to pick…they would be Sajda @Across the Words, Tia @ Read It Write Now, Jacquelyn @ YA Bookmark, Meredith @ Pandoras Books, and Jaclyn @ Living in a World of Book Quotes! But I LOVE all of my book bloggers out there!

If you could be an author, what book genre would want to write about?
Well, I am actually currently co-writing a novel and it is a YA contemporary romance, so that would be my answer for this question!

What would your dream cast be of your favorite book or series be?
SO HARD! Why are you doing this to me? Not only do I have to pick a favorite book, but I have to pick a dream cast? Hmm, I’ll go with my most recent 5 star book- Rites of Passage by Joy N Hensley. (P.S if you haven’t read it yet, GO BUY IT!)

My dream cast would probably be Emma Stone as Sam, Sean O’Pry as Drill, Arthur Sales as Matthews, Sean O’Donnell as Kelly, and Elle Fanning as Katie.

Is there a book or series that you could change the ending to? and Why?
No, there isn’t! All books are very special because they come from their author’s minds. So even though I wasn’t thrilled with all of the endings of books that I have read, I still wouldn’t change the ending to any of them.

If you were given a gift card to buy books, would you buy the books for yourself or would you donate the books that you buy instead?
Hmm, that is a difficult question. It would probably depend what time of year it was. If it was near the holiday season, I would probably buy some books for myself, some for friends, and donate some as well.

Who have been your favorite authors to meet?
Jodi Meadows, Joy N Hensley, and Kelsey Macke- absolutely!

Independent books or bestseller books?
Can I pick both? I love some indies and I also love some bestsellers! I can’t pick one over the other.

Favorite book to movie adaptation?
The Great Gatsby. It’s funny, I was reading that book right around the time when the movie came out. It was a great adaptation!

YA or NA? Why?
Most of the books that I read are YA, but I do read some NA books as well. I don’t know whether there is a specific reason why, but I just tend to gravitate more towards YA books.

What are your favorite book quotes?
Hmm, that’s tough. Here are a couple:

“I’m physically incapable of saying no to a dare- I’ve got the scars and broken bone count to prove it.” (Rites of Passage by Joy N Hensley)

“Every now and then I like to do as I’m told, just to confuse people.”
(Melting Stones by Tamora Pierce)

“Tris: “I was reading.”
Sandry: “You’re always reading. The only way people can ever talk to you is to interrupt.”
Tris: “Then maybe they shouldn’t talk to me.”
(Briar’s Book by Tamora Pierce)

My questions are:

1. What was your favorite book when you were a child?
2. Do you listen to audiobooks? If yes, what’s your favorite?
3. Are you a reader, writer, or both?
4. Who was the first blogger that you followed?
5. What is your favorite book with a purple cover?
6. What is the last book that you received as a gift/from a giveaway?
7. Who is your favorite author?
8. If you could become any character for one day, who would you pick?
9. What was the last book that made you cry?
10. What was the last 5 star book that you read?

On that note, I tag the following book bloggers:

Lupe @Lupes Reading Away (lupeereads)

Summer @Miss Fictional’s World of YA Books (miss_fictional)

Cheetah @CreatyveBooks (creatyvebooks)

Sheridan @ I Turn the Pages (iamabookjunkie)

I apologize if you’ve already been tagged, but hopefully there are some new questions for you to answer!

Good luck on your book! Please describe more of your writing experiences! I definitely need a motivational speech/post.
