This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week the topic was split into two again, so I decided to make two top 5 lists!

Top Five Characters Who I Would Totally Want To Be For Halloween!

1. The Selection by Kiera Cass
Let’s be real. Who doesn’t want to wear one of the dresses on the covers in the trilogy? And even if one of the dresses on the covers doesn’t suit your fancy, there must have been at least one dress described in the books that made you drool with envy.

2. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
Dressing up as a ghost with blood everywhere could be fun. It might be a bit disturbing, but I would definitely get some looks!

3. Relic by Heather Terrell
I would dress up as Eva just so I could be warm! It has been freezing during Halloween the past couple of years.

4. Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
Hermione! While dressing up as a witch might be a little cliche, I wouldn’t mind as long as I was Hermione.

5. Maximum Ride by James Patterson
How awesome would it be to have wings? Actually…I’ve had Halloween costumes with wings before and I normally end up accidentally hitting people. But they are still really fun to wear! And Max is definitely one of the best female protagonists in YA books.

Top Five Books/Movies To Read Or Watch To Get In The Halloween Spirit!

1.Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I read this book a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Between the suspense, the mystery, and the peculiar gifts, it is a great read to get into the mysterious spirit of Halloween.

2. Numbers by Rachel Ward
While this is not a terrifying or spooky story, I did find it to be a bit creepy. After all, the main character, Jem, can look at a person and tell when they are going to die. I’d say that’s pretty creepy.

3. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
If you have not read this book, go out and buy it. Now! This is one of the few murder books that I have read and immensely enjoyed. I loved the puzzle and was captivated by the entire story.

4. The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
I was actually a bit surprised that I liked this book, but I definitely did enjoy it. If you like zombies, this is a book for you.

5. Beastly by Alex Flinn
I decided to end the post with one of my favorite books! I love Alex Flinn’s writing style and haven’t read one bad book by her. Beastly is definitely not an exception to the rule. The reason why this gets me into a Halloween mood is because it involves magic and fairy tale adaptions. Two of my favorite things!
So there you have it everyone!

An awesome zombie book is Enclave! I would definitely look into the series, which I believe is called the Razorland Trilogy.
