Welcome everyone to my first ever weekly meme post! I told you that I would be adding some new stuff to my blog, didn’t I?
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Top Ten Books I Really Want To Read But Don’t Own Yet, which means I have lots of choices to choose from! After all, my TBR list is never-ending. After much consideration, I’m going to fill this list up with ARC’s that I really want to read but don’t have yet.
1. Red Queen by: Victoria Aveyard
I first heard about this book during Epic Read’s ARC Party on Youtube. From the moment I saw the cover, I was absolutely hooked! I can’t wait to read this book.
2. Geek Girl by Holly Smale
This was another book that I heard about during the ARC Party! I love reading books where the characters get a chance to reinvent themselves, so this is a definite MUST READ for me.
3. Atlantia by Ally Condie
When I found out that Ally Condie was writing a new book, I was extremely excited! I also got lucky because I got a chapter sampler from Barnes and Noble, but one chapter isn’t enough! I need this book!
4. The Young Elites by Marie Lu
I really enjoyed the Legend series so I am really looking forward to reading The Young Elites! I’ve also heard nothing but amazing things from the lucky people who have gotten the ARC.
5. Talon by Julie Kagawa
First of all, have you seen the cover? It’s beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I’ve been looking for a good dragon book for a while and I have a feeling that this book will hit the spot!
6. Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick
Blizzards plus kidnappers plus murders plus romance? What is this book missing? Absolutely nothing! I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.
7. Endgame: The Calling by James Frey
I heard about this book during the ARC Party and immediately wanted my own copy. Yes, it does sound a bit like the Hunger Games. But there is a puzzle hidden inside of the book and I want to try and solve it!
8. Snow Like Ashes by Sarah Raasch
I have not heard one bad thing about this book so far from anyone who has gotten one of the coveted ARC’s. The storyline sounds amazing and I can’t wait to read it.
9. The Jewel by Amy Ewing
This ARC is actually being sent to me right now and I am really excited! I’ve heard that it’s similar to The Maze Runner and The Selection, two books that I loved.
10. Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White
Magic, secrets, courage, and an awesome heroine? Say no more, I’m in!
~~~
So there you have it! These are 10 books that I really want to read but don’t own yet!
What books are you looking forward to reading? Have you read any of the ARC’s for these books? Feel free to comment below!
Geek Girl is a really cute read, I hope that you enjoy it! I also really want to read The Jewel! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday by the way. It’s a fun meme.
Thank you! It does seem to be a really fun meme so I’m excited! I actually just won a copy of Geek Girl on twitter today, so I am really excited about that!
Geek Girl was pretty funny, and I really want to read the rest of the books on your list. Especially The Young Elites, Talon, and Snow Like Ashes. Great list! 🙂
Here’s my TTT
Thanks! I’ll check out your post now. 🙂
I can’t wait to read Red Queen it sounds soo amazing and that cover is freaking beautiful. I’ve been waiting for Black Ice since forever, I hope I won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately I heard some bad stuff about The Jewel but I’m still excited to read it. Hope you’ll enjoy all of the books you’re waiting for.
Great list!
Red Queen does sound amazing, doesn’t it? I have heard mixed reviews about the Jewel as well, but I’m still really excited! I guess we’ll have to wait and see what we think!
Woah I love your list! There are so many books on her I’d never heard of and now I NEED.
I bought Geek Girl a few weeks ago so I’m super excited to start that and I am very eagerly anticipating Atlantia and Talon. They both sound amazing!
Thank you so much! I’m glad that you were able to find some new books through my blog!
The Jewel intrigued me too. It sounds like a YA version of The Handmaid’s Tale by Margret Atwood which I highly recommend. I’ve also got my eye on Talon, and the cover of Illusions of Fate is really gorgeous, I will have to check that one out!
I haven’t heard of The Handmaid’s Tale but I’ll definitely look into it!
Red Queen, Snow Like Ashes, and Young Elites! All must haves!
Agreed! I really want Red Queen! 🙂
The other two I can’t wait to get either!
The Red Queen looks creepy in the best way. Love this list (I also want to read Talon and just got an ARC of The Young Elites. So excited!)
You’re lucky that you got an ARC of The Young Elites! Let me know how it is!
Red Queen was a notable addition from ARC Party that caught my eye as well! As was Endgame, which I’m pretty excited to solve the puzzle as well (even though I’m dubious as per the prize being offered…) If I can’t find time to binge Marie Lu’s Legend trilogy, I might just start off with The Young Elites to get my feet wet in her works. Hope you snag a lot of these on their intended release dates!
Cheers, joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts
Yes, I think Red Queen caught everyone’s eye! It looks amazing. Definitely read the Legend series if you have time. I enjoyed them.
All the books sound really good. I have a copy of snow like ashes on my kindle.
You’re lucky! Have you read it yet?
Some of these covers are so gorgeous! Is it bad to want to read them just because of their covers? Great post, Nori! I’m never disappointed when I read your blog. You should read The Siren by Kiera Cass. In my opinion, it’s better than the Selection.
I am ridiculously excited for Talon and Atlantia. Great picks!
Thanks! I’m really excited for both of them. 🙂
